The DIVT congratulate the 2025 national skills competition winners and is a proud partner in the skills development and promotion among the country’s youth. The national competition was largely funded by the Taiwan Technical Mission, Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC) and Eswatini Research Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESERPAC). The DIVT also appreciates the support they have received from the Workforce Development Agency from the Ministry of Labour in Taiwan for dispatching its expert to guide the local experts in conducting the national competitions.
The first-ever natonal skills competitions were conducted on three skills areas namely Cooking, Welding and Automobile technology. In welding technology skills area, there were two categories; junior and senior category. The age limit for junior was 22 years while the senors was 26 years.

Cooking: Temazikodze Nkwanyana – Somnjalose High School
Welding (Junior): Khumalo Maxwell – Dwalile High School
Welding (Senior): Sambulo Malambe – Matsapha Industrial Training Centre
Automobile: Mcebo Shongwe – Gwamile VOCTIM
The Cooking Gold Medallist received a Gas/Electric flat stove (4 plates gas and 2 plates electric). The stove is worth over E8,000.00. The Welding Gold Medallists each received a MAT Weld 200A Welder Inverter Kit. The Automobile Gold Medallist received a Professional Diagnostic SCAN Tool worth over E14,000.00.

Welding (Senior): Siyabonga Langa Dube – Matsapha Industrial Training Centre

The Cooking Bronze Medallist received an Air Fryer while the Welding Silver Medallists each received a MAT Weld 200A Welder Inverter 9005 Machine. The Automobile counterpart received a TOOLKIT KING TONY 62PC 5T set.

The Welding Bronze Medallists each received a TRADEWELD ARCMASTER 200A Welder Inverter 9005 Machine. The Automobile Bronze Medallist received a TOOLKIT KING TONY 62PC 5T set worth over E5,000.00. The Cooking Bronze medallist received an Air Fryer.
