The Industrial Vocational Training Board (IVTB) may establish Committees to exercise the duties, and functions set out in section 11 in relation to training or trade testing in specified industries, trades or occupations or in relation to any group of trades or occupations Make, or assist other persons in making enquiries into any matter relating to training;
- Provide advice about training;
- Provide advice on the facilities and training to be provided at educational institutions
- Provide advice or make arrangements for the application of selection tests for persons wishing to be employed as apprentices or as trainees;
- Make recommendations for the application of trade test or other methods for

ascertaining the standards of proficiency;
- Provide advice on the establishment of a scheme or schemes for the training of apprentices or trainees;
Perform such functions of the Board as the Board may delegate to it in writing.
Currently, there are four Committees
- Trade Testing Committee
- Engineering Training Advisory Committee
- Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Committee
- Building and Construction Advisory Committee
