The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS) has issued a stern warning to the public and syndicates conducting unauthorised trade testing. The ministry clarified that the DIVT is the sole entity in the Kingdom of Eswatini authorised to carry trade tests under the Vocational Training Act No. 16 of 1982 Section 8(1) and 8(2).

The MoLSS acknowledged that there is a backlog for individuals who had registered for trade tests and pleaded for patience as the DIVT tries to address their applications.  The trade tests and certificates taken or awarded outside of DIVT are not recognized by any local law on vocational training in the country.

The composition of the panel of assessors in DIVT trade tests are experienced experts of the relevant fields and come from the local institutions and private sector companies.
