April 11, 2023The Directorate for Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT) have assembled a team of experts in Welding and Fabrication & Motor Vehicle Mechanic to develop qualifications in their fields from Level 2 to Level 4 of the Eswatini Qualification Framework (ESQF). The experts are selected from vocational institutions and local industries. The vocational institutions are mostly Eswatini College of Technology and Gwamile VOCTIM. The experts will hold several workshops to develop the qualifications and the qualification will be internally reviewed at DIVT and further given to the public for validation.
The developed qualifications will be registered with Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC) and the DIVT, among its users, will use it to revise the trade testing standards and apprenticeship training guidelines in all the trades available with the DIVT trade testing and apprenticeship programmes.

The Welding and Fabrication expert team is comprised of the following:
